This year, National Volunteer Week runs from 20–26 May and during that week thousands of events will be held across the country to say thanks to the 6 million Australians who volunteer their time and energy.
To participate in this great celebration, we’re hosting a volunteer open day at our Carrington Street community hub in Lismore. Join us for a fun day celebrating and supporting volunteers in our communities. Everyone is welcome and it’s free to attend.
You can enjoy connecting, sharing stories, live entertainment, refreshments, food, guest speakers, door prizes and raffles.
For those of you interested to find out about volunteering opportunities in the region, you can attend our Northern Rivers Volunteer Network expo. And as part of this, we’ll be hosting some fun volunteer speed dating, hosted by Lismore’s own Jenny Dowell OAM. Gosh!
So come along to celebrate, connect, share and find local volunteer opportunities to learn new skills, create new networks and help make your community stronger.
