If you can’t afford to pay your bills or buy food, we may be able to deliver help straight to you.
More and more people in our communities are experiencing financial distress or hardship right now.
Many people have lost their jobs or are earning less than usual. Many people have been forced into isolation due to their age or their medical conditions. And while our lockdown continues, there are still bills to pay.
If you’re experiencing financial hardship, we can assist you. Our First Step emergency relief service provides a broad range of financial supports throughout the Northern Rivers region, to people living on a low income or experiencing an unforeseen life changing event.
These supports include food packs, vouchers for supermarkets, chemists, car fuel, electricity bills and Telstra phone bills.
During the COVID-19 social isolation period, if you are self-isolating due to medical conditions and are eligible for our First Step supports, we can have food packs delivered to your home. We can assess your enquiry over the phone and organise the delivery of supports straight to you.
Call us on 02 6621 7397 to enquire about our First Step supports and food box delivery.
