New workshops are helping financially disadvantaged people in Northern NSW to improve their financial situation.
There are many local residents throughout Northern NSW that are still doing it tough and suffering financially. Disadvantage has escalated throughout Northern NSW since the COVID pandemic began and more recently after devastating floods.
For nearly fifty years, we have been supporting the most socially and financially disadvantaged people in our region. So in response to this growing problem, we have developed some Financial Capability workshops to help local people increase their financial knowledge and make smarter money choices, so building financial confidence, capability and resilience. The workshops also help people get out of financial crisis and stay out of crisis.
Our Financial Capability workshops are delivered by Renee Bailey, a local accredited financial coach with a passion for social justice. The workshops are aimed at financially disadvantaged people and groups that include long term unemployed, young adults and First Nations Australians.
