Get ready to SMILE

Healthy lifestyle kiosk is coming to Lismore Community Hub!

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Southern Cross University’s SMILE program, coming to Community Gateway soon!

SMILE provides health checks and healthy lifestyle resources for free, with volunteer registered nurses and undergraduate nursing students who generously donate their time and professional expertise.

From June this year, we will have a new health kiosk at Lismore Community Hub providing SMILE. Anyone can come to the kiosk to measure their pulse, blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and BMI (body mass index). The kiosk will be be equipped with lots of health education resources, giveaways and the latest information on health and wellbeing.

Our SMILE volunteer students will be running a Have a Chat group, and a fun arts and health workshop called StARTalking throughout June.

While you’re at our community hub, you can also check out all the other fab support services we provide, including advice, referrals, financial, mental health and family supports, emergency relief, volunteering programs and our Choices reproductive and sexual health clinic.

Stay connected for more news about the SMILE program in coming months.

Many tracks, one road, sustaining community.
