Access to safe, fair and affordable credit for people on a low income.
Even without our recent lockdowns, many people living on a low income can find it hard to afford essential household goods and services. But now that we have to spend more time at home, it gets even harder.
Because of the pandemic lockdowns, many people have lost their jobs, school children are home educating and home resources are being placed under more pressure.
So if you’re struggling to maintain your essential equipment, goods and services at home, we can help. We provide a range of interest and fee free loans to people on a low income, giving them access to safe, fair and affordable credit. We can offer NILS and StepUP loans.
NILS loans are interest and fee free loans of up to $1500. They can be used for essential goods and services such as fridges, washing machines, medical procedures, education essentials like computers or text books, and car repairs.
StepUP loans are low interest and fee free loans between $800 and $3000. They can be used for purchasing second hand cars, car repairs, white goods, furniture, computers, vocational education and medical expenses.
Our loans can be completed over the phone. Approvals can happen within 48 hours. Once a loan is approved, your purchased items can often be delivered to your door within 5 days. There are some rules around loans eligibility and repayment periods.
