New Generations values women’s knowledge and skills.
There are many women throughout Northern NSW that hold important knowledge, skills, language and cultural practices that are at risk of being lost.
New Generations is a volunteering service that encourages local women from all cultures and walks of life to share their rich knowledge with younger generations. Think arts, crafts, textiles, weaving, cooking, social knowledge, professional, personal and domestic practices – and important culturally specific knowledge and practices.
Sharing knowledge with children and young adults in this way reduces social isolation and increases self esteem. Children benefit by learning important skills and appreciating their place in our bigger story.
We provide guidance, support and opportunities for our valued women to share their knowledge with younger generations through our outside school hours childcare services throughout Northern NSW.
So if you identify as female and have some skills to share with our young folk, we want to hear from you. And if you know someone who you think would like to share their knowledge, send them this email or ask them to contact us.

Together we can ensure that women’s knowledge is never forgotten.
