Volunteer with us

Be the change you’d like to see

Volunteering has many benefits for volunteers. It’s a great way to extend networks, meet new people, learn new skills, grow confidence and invest in your community. If you’re thinking about volunteering, there are a number of ways you can do this with us.

Become a volunteer visitor

The Community Visitors Scheme is a national program that supports older Australians at risk of social isolation, by partnering them with volunteer visitors for ongoing companionship. Volunteering as a visitor is a great way to connect with older people, hear their stories and learn about our shared past. We deliver the Community Visitors Scheme throughout Northern NSW.

Volunteer with Community Gateway

We are often looking for people to volunteer their time with us, to help our own operations and services that support disadvantaged people in our communities. Our working culture is person-centred, inclusive and respectful.

If you’re interested to volunteer in this way, watch our Current vacancies page. If there are no volunteer roles listed there, you can always register your interest by uploading a letter or CV. Alternatively, call us on 02 6621 7397 for a chat, or email volunteer@nrcg.org.au.

Many tracks, one road, sustaining community.
