Support on the path to housing stabilty.

A dedicated service to support First Nations people across the Northern Rivers who are homeless, experiencing housing stress or are at risk of being without a home.

We can help manage systems, negotiate with providers, or access other supports related to securing affordable housing.

What can we help with through Helping Hands?

Helping you secure stable, affordable housing, whether by supporting you to remain in your current home or assisting you to find a new one, by:

  • Supporting with housing applications and paperwork.
  • Advocacy with housing services.
  • Assistance navigating systems (including the Department of Housing).
  • Ongoing case management support (up to 12 months).
Who is eligible for Helping Hands support?

First Nations people who are:

  • Over 16 years of age.
  • Experiencing homelessness, or at risk of losing their housing.
  • Are currently in Lismore or any surrounding areas across NSW.
