Overview

Access support to keep the power on.

We can support to apply for EAPA, to cover your electricity or gas bills during short-term financial hardship, crisis or in an emergency.

If approved, the program pays your provider directly, to ensure your utilities stay on while you work through your hardship.

What you need to know

Am I eligible for Energy Account Payment Assistance (EAPA)?

To be eligible for EAPA you must meet all of the below requirements:

  • You have an electricity or natural gas account for your home in NSW.
  • You’re the account holder (the account and bill must be in your name).
  • You have not paid your most recent bill.
  • The bill you need help with is for an account that is still open.
  • You’re having a short-term financial crisis or emergency and are finding it hard to pay your recent energy bill.
