Community Gateway is an externally accredited, registered charity formed in 1976. We provide welfare and community capacity building programs for disadvantaged people and communities. Our services extend to the Far North Coast, New England, Mid North Coast and across NSW.

First Step emergency relief

A broad range of services and supports to help people get through periods of financial crisis.

Financial capability workshops

Free workshops to help financially disadvantaged people in Northern NSW make smarter money choices.

No Interest Loans (NILs)

No interest loans up to $2000 with no fees for people on a low income.

We recently opened the doors of our neighbourhood centre for an open day, to celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week and the return to our old home at 76 Carrington Street. The rain didn’t deter community members and local services from joining us to connect, tour the renovated hub, engage in some fun activities, win some prizes and learn how we support local people and communities.Raffle prizes were generously donated by The Smashed Avo Produce Market, Fundies Wholefood Market,Bunnings Warehouse Australia Lismore, Brads Butchery and Benchtop Espresso.
