Morning tea for refugees, migrants and new arrivals.

Morning tea for refugees, migrants and new arrivals.

Support for culturally and linguistically diverse people.

For people that have moved to Australia as a refugee or migrant, life can be difficult, isolating and uncertain. We have partnered with St Vincent de Paul Society’s North Coast Settlement Service, to provide a safe, friendly place for recent arrivals to come together.

Our Welcome morning tea is taking place on Tuesday 9 December 2025, from 11am at Community Gateway, 76 Carrington Street, Lismore NSW 2480.

If you are a refugee, migrant, recent arrival or are otherwise culturally or linguistically diverse, join us to meet your neighbours, share stories and learn about our supports. Free tea, coffee and snacks provided. All adults and children are welcome. Lucky door prize – someone will win a $50 Woolworths gift card! We want to hear from you:

  • What has been difficult for you since arriving in Australia?
  • What information or services would help you?
  • What supports do you and your family need?
  • What can we do to make our community more welcoming for you?
