Come celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025 with us

All welcome at our community event and mural launch.

This year, National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week runs from 6–13 July. It has been a week-long event since 1975, its purpose being to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of First Nations Australians.

Part of our purpose is to advocate for the empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We take this responsibility seriously, through our welfare support and capacity building services, community partnerships, cultural sensitivity training for staff, Reconciliation Action Plan and other strategies.

So we hope you can join us on Friday 11 July from 11am-2pm at our Lismore Community Hub, 76 Carrington Street to help us celebrate First Nations peoples and cultures on Bundjalung land.

We’re hosting a free barbecue lunch and are excited to unveil some new murals created by local First Nations artists to showcase local stories and cultural expression. Come connect with us, with each other and our local First Nations cultures.
