Volunteers make the world go round

Volunteering is the life blood of every community. When something needs doing, someone steps up to meet the need. This happens every day. Whether it’s a big or small contribution, what matters is that we all want to make our communities a better place. And we can! Welcome to Northern Rivers Volunteering.

Why Community Gateway?

For over 30 years, Community Gateway has been connecting volunteers to opportunities throughout Northern NSW.

We want to create a thriving volunteering network, to empower volunteers, create a vibrant, engaged volunteering culture, build community capacity and strengthen resilience.

We do not claim, own or have any preference over any volunteer, community group, organisation or partner involved in this network. Our aim is to bring all the right people together to connect and make our region a better place to be.

Be Collective

The Northern Rivers Volunteering network is facilitated through the Be Collective platform, based in Australia. It’s like a social media platform for volunteering, with great tools to connect and engage volunteers and the groups who need them, giving volunteers choice and control over their journey, and giving communities the power to connect with others.
