Yesterday, we officially launched our new Tomorrow Ready initiative to the region, at our newly decorated Lismore Community Hub.
Speaking to local media, our CEO Jenni talked about the program and how it will build meaningful, grass roots disaster resilience for our communities. Jenni was joined by Christine Pauling from the Office of the State Member for Lismore, Janelle Saffin MP.
Jenni made an exciting announcement too, and revealed that our ambassador for Tomorrow Ready is Liz Ellis AO, former Australian netball captain, television personality and Northern Rivers resident.
As a volunteer during the 2022 floods, Liz knows first-hand the enormous impact that volunteers have in supporting our communities. Liz jumped into action as one of many thousands of spontaneous volunteers to support the clean-up effort. With her previous sporting successes, Liz understands the value of working together as a team and is proud to be our ambassador.
NBN News ran a story about the event, which you can see here.
